I Love the Smell of Toner in the Morning

I made it to Spring Break on my teaching journey!
One thing is for certain, the copy room is a communal place. I was weened on the sweet smell of what we all thought was the Mimeograph machine. But lo and behold, it was actually the sweet smell of the Spirit Duplicator that we were smelling. I ran one of these for the Speech Department for a while at Southwest Texas State University – you can not – NOT – smell one of these documents when it's in your hands.

The hippie QB manifested himself a torn achilles after ONLY four plays for the New York Jets. Four plays! All the endless hype. The HBO Hard Knocks documentary that built-up and capitalized on the fan frenzy.

I Embraced the Robots! If you can't beat 'em, well then, you might as well use them. I created this artwork using prompts in Midjourney; tweaked the results and added custom elements to make it all mine, and then I altered and adjusted the artwork for screen printing purposes in Photoshop. Inspired by Steely Dan lyrics.

For Amigos de Fandango!

In 1985, Kevin Reynolds released Fandango, an epic buddy roadtrip movie that seared my consciousness. I am a huge fan of the movie. If you haven't seen it, well, you should. It's a great summer roadtrip flick. I created this completely unauthorized collection after discovering that my Pecos Parachute School t-shirt hit a chord. Go figure. That has to mean there are other Amigos de Fandango out there, right?
