I Like The Shape
Posted on
Texas is iconic for many reasons. It's shape may be the best one. There's a scene in the movie Fandango when Phillip, one of the main protagonists in the film, asks out loud to no one in particular, "Texas is really ugly, you know that? I mean, what could anyone possibly like about this state?" Dorman, one of the offbeat supporting actors, responds (some of his only dialogue in the entire movie), "I like the way it's shaped."
That dude in Austin made it famous, all right? But our elevator attendant made it work.

Elevator attendant? In this century? Yeah, I know. Sounds crazy. But one time we had an office that had two elevators. Both elevators required an attendant to operate them. Ralph, let's call him attendant numero uno, ran a tight ship. He would always ask what floor we needed – even after a year of being one of the only tenants in the entire eight stories of the building. "Fifth floor please," we would say.

Mushrooms rock. Pilots are bad-asses. Seems like a logical fit.Plus, the Belle+Canvas tri-blend t-shirt is instantly vintage. The side seam construction gives it a fitted look. If you want it baggy, order a size up. It's a durable t-shirt that will withstand repeated washings. This is your go to, super comfortable, hanging on the patio drinking beer with your buddies t-shirt.
Exercise? We're Talking about Exercise!

During the pandemic, I entered into what I refer as the “bulk-up” phase of my existence. By the end of 2020, I was properly bulked-up. It was past time to do some serious cutting. So I plopped down the $2K and joined the cult of Peloton. Last month, I ended my streak of three years of doing at least one Peloton routine. That was a streak of 167 weeks. Not quite Lou Gehrig, but impressive for me.
Will You Be My Huckleberry?

There's a great scene in the film Tombstone in which Doc Holiday (played by Val Kilmer) tells Johnny Ringo, "I'll be your Huckleberry". For a long time, I had thought that phrase meant: "I'm the man for the job, and I'm here to stand-up for my friends through thick and thin".

One of the good habits I acquired three years ago when the pandemic upended normality, is that I take my dog for a walk at the McAllister Park Dog Park almost every day.
Baseball is Heavy, Man

Did You Know
That a hitter in baseball has less than half a second to react to a baseball thrown at 90mph? In approximately .45 seconds the hitter has to decide if he’s going to swing, take the pitch, or get the hell out of the way of a projectile that hurts really bad when it hits you.

Take it easy child. Everything is going to be ok.
This is one of my all-time favorite designs and shirt combinations (it works as a journal too). The Bella+Canvas combed and ring-spun cotton t-shirt contains 1% polyester for the right amount of stretch.

Old t-shirts don't die, they jus fade away. And rot in the bottom of your dresser.
It's that time of year again when the clocks spring forward, the Warblers in the backyard wake me up before dawn, and my closet gets purged. Freshen up your t-shirt game this spring with a new tee from PRNTDxP.
