Roam and Rally Baseball: Austin, Texas

Roaming the Web
What's not to like about Vintage Defunct Baseball Teams T-shirts? I discovered Moonshot while doing some backlink, keyword, and SEO analysis using Ahrefs – if you are interested in exploring a website's "guts," Ahrefs is a great tool. I went down a wormhole with it so much that I paid the $29 for access for a month. It's a great way to find out how other websites play SEO. There's so much to understand, too much for my Bachelor of Arts brain, but it's interesting and insightful. It led me to Moonshots, which led me to buy this T-shirt. I'm such a sucker for a good T-shirt like these. I'll let you know how it works out. I should explore my Defunct Cuban Baseball League concept more fully.
Rally Spots
Speaking of intriguing discoveries, I had the privilege of conversing with the owners of Soto Vino last week. They craft exclusive Texas Wine, using only Texas grapes, for their private label. Their website and the stories they share are captivating. The wine they produce, in small, exclusive batches – only a few cases at a time – is distributed through The Austin Winery. All their recent batches, except for the 24 Sauvage, have been quickly snapped up. As we were en route to Austin for a Baseball game, I couldn't resist the chance to order a bottle and pick it up at their wine bar at The Yard. The two brothers, Dominic and Christion Soto, have a unique style, and I'm a fan of their copywriting. The Sauvage was a delight for a wine novice like me, best served chilled for a refreshing post-game drink. If you're looking for a special gift for a wine lover, a bottle from Soto Vino is perfect.
Dropping by The Austin Winery's wine bar led us to The Yard, a "creative flex warehouse development" with a little bit of everything and an Austin vibe. I'm always pleasantly surprised at the things you can find in Austin. It was a great post-game spot to pick up our wine, down a few beers, eat some Jerusalem street food, and plan to stop by on our next trip to the Capital City and check out all the other cool spaces. In particular, Spicy Boys Chicken looked fantastic.
The season has settled down as the teams I am cheering on prepare for the playoffs (only six games this week). It will be a barn burner in the Lonestar Conference, and the Mightly Buttons are looking to defend their state title. I'm looking forward to returning to Weimer, Texas, to catch a game at historic Veterans Memorial Park Strickland Field this week. This website is excellent if you are on a sports journey like me. It's a passion project that has led to reviews of 2,600 off-the-beaten-path stadiums. Highly book markable.

Happy trails. Cheers!
