Let It Go

I hate it when a bad loss on the field, a missed opportunity, or a flub on the job sticks in your head and weighs you down. Just a friendly reminder that sometimes you gotta cut bait and let it go.

Commit or Quit

There’s a particular kind of tension that happens right before you go all in on doing anything. It happens almost every time I start something new: I have to overcome the fear of failure and commit or quit. Once I make that crucial decision to plow forward, or wad up the paper and start over, I feel momentum on my side again.

Start Living Now

At the core of Stoic Philosophy is the concept of Memento Mori – you can leave this life at any moment, so you can’t wait to live. You must start living now. Be sure and smell your roses everyday.

Keep it Legal

There was a point in my life where keeping it legal meant not having any fun. Now, it’s a mini mantra I like to pass along to my teenage son when he’s heading out the door for some time with friends – keep it legal, bro. You can still have fun legally, right?
