Ted Williams believed that he could see a baseball pitched to him at 90+ MPH hit his bat.
He took this belief with him to the grave, even in the face of the cold truth: it's physically impossible to see a baseball thrown at 90+ MPH hit the bat. It's outside the realm of what the human eyes and our brains can process. Ted even went further and claimed to be able to see the stitches of the baseball when his bat hit the ball. It's been scientifically proven that it is impossible.
But not for Ted Williams! He believed he could see the baseball hit his bat and that was why he was so good at hitting: his belief in himself. While science could prove Ted wrong, Ted's beliefs proved him right: he might be the last man to ever hit above .400 (and that was just barely: .406 in 1941).
This custom type design is an homage to seeing the bat hit the ball; seeing something all the way through; seeing time fly and enjoying every last minute of it, and seeing it all the way. This heart print t-shirt, available exclusively on PRNTDxP, is printed on that t-shirt you remember wearing at the Texas Jam in 1986. After a few washes, the garment dyed fabric will feel even more vintage. It's not a t-shirt. It's a time machine.
