When I first heard the name, I thought no way that can be true! But it is: Oneill Cruz is a 6'7'' Pittsburg Pirates shortstop (you read that right) who happens to have a beautiful mashed up name that immediately reminded me of Oneil Surfboards and Santa Cruz skateboards. His Dad named him after his favorite Yankee, Paul O'Neil, but I think his name is much more evocative than the dour O'Neil. This is my mashup of the two iconic brands that make up his name. What a player, what a smile.
