"Texas has a tight cohesiveness perhaps stronger than any other section of America. Rich, poor, Panhandle, Gulf, city, country, Texas is the obsession, the proper study, and the passionate possession of all Texans."
John Steinbeck
I know Texans like to think they are number one at everything, but technically we are 28. As in, the 28 State admitted to the Union. After spending a long weekend crammed in the baseball bleachers with my fellow Texans from the Gulf Coast and the Rio Grande Valley, I felt what Steinbeck said when he talked about the “tight cohesiveness” of Texans. We are all intertwined and made better when we come together. Check out my intertwined Texas series. 28 is great indeed.
